Founder: Margaret Galbraith
I have been pursuing and cultivating my passions for the arts and social justice since childhood. In 1997, I was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study the Argentine women’s movement and spent a year in Buenos Aires. I then spent several years in community development in Oakland, California, assisting immigrants from various regions including Latin America, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. In 2002, I worked as a photographer in Barcelona, Spain for noted artist Antonio Muntadas, and my photos were shown at the Contemporary Art Museum in Barcelona.

In 2003, I turned my attention to documentary filmmaking. I earned a Masters in Art for Social Change, with a focus on documentary, at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU, and followed that with a Graduate Documentary Certificate from the New School, where I completed my first two films: Krumbs and Salsa Salon. I founded SeeScape Films in 2008 and began work on the feature-length documentary Stickman. Stickman won multiple awards and is currently being shown on local PBS television stations across the country and streaming on Amazon.

After settling on Long Island, NY to raise my two children, I wedded my political and social activism with my film-making career and have been producing promotional videos and leading workshops for non-profits and government institutions in my local community. SeeScape Films has become a platform for this work.
